Binh Thuan continues to maintain a stable growth rate with many positive results, with a gross regional domestic product (GRDP) increase of 7.25%, ranking 35th out of 63 provinces and cities and 9th out of 14 provinces in the North Central and Central Coast regions.
Binh Thuan province is making efforts to implement many synchronous solutions, determined to complete the set socio-economic development goals, aiming for double-digit GRDP growth in 2025 and the following years.
Binh Thuan identifies the key task and solution as urgently completing the restructuring of the apparatus according to the Central Government’s policy. The goal is to build a streamlined apparatus that operates more effectively and efficiently, meeting the development requirements in the new period. Special attention is paid to ideological work for the staff, ensuring that it does not affect the progress of performing professional tasks of agencies and units, especially those in the process of restructuring.
In addition, Binh Thuan has identified three economic pillars: industry, tourism and agriculture. The province is focusing resources and synchronously implementing solutions to strongly develop all three of these areas.
In the industrial sector, Binh Thuan prioritizes the development of clean energy industry, renewable energy, processing and manufacturing industry. The province is accelerating the progress of infrastructure investment in industrial parks, striving to inaugurate Tan Duc Industrial Park before April 19, 2025 and start construction of Son My 2 Industrial Park in September 2025. The province is also focusing on accelerating the progress of key projects such as Son My Power Center and Son My LNG Port Warehouse, and handing over the site to investors soon.
The agricultural sector is oriented towards ecological development, applying high technology, forming a chain of agricultural production – processing industry. The province encourages enterprises to invest in agriculture and rural areas; develop organic agricultural farms, high-tech agricultural applications. Building a comprehensive and sustainable new rural area is also one of the key tasks. In addition, the province is also focusing on organizing the implementation of the Southern fish production, associated with strengthening the protection of aquatic resources.
Regarding tourism, Binh Thuan continues to promote and effectively organize a series of events on the occasion of major national holidays and the 30th anniversary of Binh Thuan Tourism Day. The province is determined to maintain the image of “Safe – Friendly – Quality” tourism, while promoting investment, inviting businesses and strategic investors with brands, capacity and experience to invest in large-scale projects in potential areas.
In the fields of trade, services, import and export, Binh Thuan attaches importance to exploiting and developing the domestic consumption market. Trade promotion activities are enhanced, supporting businesses to promote their brands, introduce products, find customers, and develop domestic and foreign product consumption markets.
In parallel with developing 3 economic pillars, Binh Thuan also focus on a number of other important solutions such as: promoting the disbursement of public investment capital from the beginning of the year, ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Law on Public Investment; striving to collect budget revenue to meet and exceed the set plan; continuing to carry out administrative reforms, improve the investment environment, create favorable conditions for people and businesses; effectively implementing the Binh Thuan Provincial Planning for the period 2021 – 2030, with a vision to 2050, in which attention is paid to the planning to expand Phan Thiet city.
In addition, Binh Thuan province also pays special attention to developing human resources, science and technology; protecting the environment and responding to climate change; ensuring social security and improving people’s lives; strengthening national defense and security, maintaining political and social stability.
